Carbon Group is delighted to announce the launch of Aval Udder Armour, an innovative ready-to-use teat spray/dip; the product is part of our popular ‘Aval Dairy Hygiene Range‘.
This much-anticipated launch comes following several years of New Product Development (NPD) work and on-farm trials. We’re confident Aval Udder Armour will be a much sought-after addition to our current Aval portfolio.
Project Manager John Lynch has been overseeing the product launch. He explains the background to the launch and the motivation behind creating the new addition to the Aval range:
“After conducting market research and speaking directly with farmers about what they would seek out in an ‘ideal teat spray/dip’, we saw a definite gap in the market for a more innovative teat dip/spray.
Using our market research as an impetus for launching a new Aval option, we subsequently worked with our formulation chemists; the decision was then made to use Lactic Acid and Chlorhexidine Digluconate as the active ingredients for this product.
It’s interesting to note that one of the key criteria that farmers wanted in a teat spray, was to be able to easily identify which cows have been treated with the product. We think we’ve achieved this with the distinctive dark blue colour”.
Aval Udder Armour has one of the highest concentrations of active ingredient on the Irish market.
Aval Udder Armour contains:
- 3.5% Lactic Acid
- 0.6% Chlorhexidine Digluconate
- 11% Emollients- Improves skin condition
- Peppermint Oil- Natural fly repellent.
