Congratulations to Carbon Group team member, Jamie Murphy, who captained the winning Irish Sea Angling side at this month’s Sea Angling Home Nations Boat Championships.

Competing against England and Wales, Jamie’s team led from the start of the anticipated 2023 championships.

This year, the competition was held in ‘home waters’ with the two-day championships being based out of Crosshaven, Co. Cork.

Jamie Murphy welcomed the win and said it was a proud moment:

“It was absolutely fantastic to win at home. We led from the very beginning and we were well ahead on day one. Our results on day two secured our win. It was an honour to captain the Irish team and especially to be captain for this event so close to home. It was a great social occasion too, with our visitors really enjoying getting to know Cork harbour, Crosshaven and nearby Carrigaline where we held an awards-presentation dinner”.
