Shrieve CEO, Joey Gullion, visited Carbon Group’s Ringaskiddy site last week where he met with Brian Walsh (Managing Director, Carbon Group) and Stephen O’Donoghue (Environmental, Health & Safety Manager, Carbon Group) to discuss the company’s recent ISO accreditation success.
Earlier this month, Carbon Chemicals Group Ltd proudly announced its newly-awarded accreditation to ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, internationally recognised standards for Environmental Management Systems and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, respectively.
This dual certification marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable operations and the health, safety and wellbeing of its workforce.

Background:
The rigorous ISO (International Organization for Standarization) certification process involved comprehensive audits, system improvements and cross-functional collaboration across all departments. These standards will serve as a framework for continuous improvement, regulatory compliance and stakeholder confidence.
ISO 14001 focuses on minimising environmental impact through efficient resource use and waste reduction, while ISO 45001 ensures robust health and safety practices that prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
